Tempo Cardinal - free flight motor timer for larger models

The Tempo Cardinal controls an Electronic Speed Controller (ESC) in models using 2-3s LiPo batteries.  In effect, it replaces a conventional radio control receiver, allowing precise control over the motor power during (up to) 7 distinct flight phases.  To use this device, you will also need either the Android app available here, or the dedicated programmer also available on this site - be sure to select the BLE programmer.

Tempo SOLO - free flight profiler for smaller models

The Tempo Solo is a power controller for small, free flight model aircraft powered by a brushed electric motor, running on a single LiPo battery.  A flight profile of up to 7 phases is entered on the dedicated programmer, with the profile being uploaded to the Solo by means of an infra-red link.

This device is required to program up to 20 of the Tempo Solo flight profilers.  The touch sensitive screen offers pages to set the various power levels before transferring this data to the Solo hidden within the model via an infra-red link.
Two versions are available - the AA version has an integral battery box to hold 3 x AA batteries, whilst the PB version is powered by your own power bank (used to recharge devices such as mobile phones) and the included usb cable.

Cardinal buzzer

An accessory for the Tempo Cardinal (not Solo):

This kit comprises of a tiny buzzer module, a connecting lead and heatshrink tubing.  To use, you would trim the connecting lead to the requred length and solder the 2 wires to the buzzer module.  This is then connected to a pair of terminals on the Tempo Cardinal timer.  When setting up a flight profile, you may then set the buzzer to activate some time after a flight ends.  The buzzer won't wake the dead, but may help to locate a model lurking behind a tussock.
